We are no great fans of complex situations, so we tried to make our rules for commenting as simple as we can.
Our rules are:
1. Valid email addresses – Comments from readers without valid email addresses are not allowed. We send email confirmations either before or after comments are published. Don’t worry, your email address will not be published and displayed. Spamming? Tell us about that. We hate spam as much as you do. In fact, we are affiliated with an anti-spam website.
2. Name – Entering a full name would be highly appreciated. If you are commenting on behalf of an organisation, kindly enter in the Name field a contact name aside from the name of your organisation. In this manner, we know who in your organisation we will be addressing our correspondence, eg, Administrator – Taglish.org
3. A comment is deleted if:
(a) It is a personal attack against us or this website (obviously) or against another commenter/s;
(b) It contains racist terms;
(c) It is worded so as to create an unpleasant controversy;
(d) It contains links to websites with no other intent except to advertise a website, brand, product or service. For advertisements on this site, please contact me and we may be able to sort out something; and
(e) It is hateful, scurrilous, negative, offensive and obscene.
4. Since messages on the comments box are publicly displayed, if what you only want is to contact us, please use the appropriate online Contact form.
That’s about it.
By the way, the fields in the Comments box except website are mandatory. These include name, email and your message. You can try posting a comment without filling up these three fields, and you will be 100% sure your comments post will go nowhere.
